What is a NOVA DEEP DIVE?
The idea behind the NOVA DEEP DIVE is to give you as developers a place where you can present your game more detailed.
There are various possibilities and there are no limits. I’ll give you a few ideas in a moment, but first I’ll address the big unknown component: How exactly does this work.
You have the opportunity to shoot a video yourself and then send it to me so that I can upload it to the channel.
And yes, I can understand that the question then arises: I do the work and you just upload it?
I will never monetize the videos, so i won’t make any profit with your work. It’s just benefit the channel and also you.
The channel isn’t big enough at the moment, but at some point, and formats and unique selling points like this help, I hope the channel will have a great, large community.
For many small developers, this could offer the opportunity to present their game to an audience that would otherwise never be possible for them.
And you have complete control over how exactly you want to present your game. The whole thing is an offer to give you as a developer more opportunities for marketing.
There is also the option for me to edit the video for you. But I’ll say up front: I’m not the best at it and I don’t have too much time or capacity. I have a 40-hour-a-week job and want to enjoy my free time. So I can’t always promise that a video I create will meet your requirements or be produced quickly.
As I said, you are completely free to choose how you make your video. It can be behind the scenes footage, it can be a dev-log video, an extended trailer, a FAQ video (with questions from me or I can edit the video) in which you can introduce yourself. It can also be a funny promotional film for your game.
The whole thing should give you the opportunity that big studios have and use. Those of you who know the press conferences of E3, Gamescom or Summer Games Fest will certainly know the videos around them. Like the presentation of the studio or the game.
With INDIE NOVA SHOWCASE, you get a free advertising space for your game.
The more videos uploaded to the channel and the more unique concepts and video formats there are, the bigger the channel becomes, which in turn means that you and other developers have a place where you can present your game for free and without much effort to a big audience.
